Description
Antique 1875 Soup Tureen, Landseer, Oetzmann & Co. Hampstead Road , London The London firm of Oetzmann & Co was founded in 1848 and finally closed their doors in 1930. During the 82 years they were in business they were known as House Furnishers supplying a wide range of home furniture, upholstery and homeware to the burgeoning Middle-Class. As a large department store Oetzmann both designed and produced items in house, as well as sold items produced by others. NOW AVAILABLE AND ON OFFER, one large Landseer soup Tureen, for and retailed by Oetzmann & Co. date stamped to the base 10th June 1875 reputed to be by Minton Pottery, sadly Minton no longer exists. It was acquired by the Wedgwood group, and is now retired. The buildings that produced Minton pottery in Stoke-on-Trent, England were demolished in the 1990s and 2000s. The chances of someone using this for soup today is slim, it’s been sat on the mantlepiece for decades of a very large Wexford based property (estate) we are currently downsizing on behalf of the “Lady” of the house. Size: 12” inch wide across approx. (handle to handle) AVAIL QUICK, NATIONWIDE DELIVERY AVAILABLE, *SEE OTHER ADS REGARDING ITEMS WE ARE SELLING PRIOR TO THE SALE OF THE LARGE WEXFORD BASED ESTATE. Kind Regards
