Grandfather Clock

This is a George 3rd mahogany Longcase (Grandfather) clock dating from 1768-1820 from a listed maker Thomas James, Shaston. It has a beautiful 11inch square brass face Dial (which early clock dials had),with a silvered Chapter Ring and silvered Seconds Dial,enclosed by 4 Rococo spandrels. It has an 8 day movement striking the hours on a bell.It comes with 2 weights and a brass insert pendulum bob. This is a slim cased clock with a long trunk door,which is typical of early Georgian Longcase clocks. It has 3 brass finials to the hood. It comes with a working trunk door key and a winding key. This clock is in excellent condition,cleaned and oiled and keeping perfect time,with nothing broken or missing. This clock would suit any home,not being too big in size.
