Mid Century Vintage Retro McIntosh Sideboard

Instagram: Retrovintagetipp A gorgeous mid century teak ‘Dunfermline’ sideboard designed by Tom Robertson for A. H. Mcintosh of Kirkcaldy in Scotland dating from the mid 1960’s. Exhibiting a golden teak wood tone and lovely grain patterns, featuring a central shelved cupboard enclosed by two doors with sculpted circular handles. On the left there are three generous sized drawers with sculpted asymmetric handles, the top drawer has black baize lining and teak dividers for cutlery. On the right there is a drop down door which reveals a cocktail cabinet with a pull-out melamine top surface for drinks preparation. A.H. McIntosh were renowned for the quality of their furniture which was produced using traditional cabinet-making techniques and this sideboard is a fine example of that tradition. The sideboard is presented in good condition commensurate with its age and previous use, the piece has been cleaned and re-polished and is ready to provide another sixty years of use.
