A 19th Century Staffordshire Figure Musician accordion and dog 10.75” A 19th Century Staffordshire Figure Musician accordion/ dog and flower pot. The figure stands 10.75” (28cm) tall with a 4.75” (12cm) base There is some discolouring , slight crazing to the glaze and flaking to the boots but in very good condition for its age, no repairs, hairlines or cracks. This figure can be found in Andrew & Nick Harding‘s book, Victorian Staffordshire figures 1835 to 1875 Vol 3, on page 140 and figure 1670F. in the book Harding states it would have a pair, but the pair has not yet been found. These figures are known as pastoral pieces, this group covered a wide variety of figures including musicians, farm workers, and people at play. (A3)
