Dunlop Systemdek IIXE turntable (RARE)

RARE, Dunlop Systemdek IIXE turntable. Has an external power supply with speed selector to keeping electronics further away from the sensitive cartridge. Only manufactured briefly due to cost. This was considered a midway option between the venerable Rega P3 and the mighty Linn Sondek LP12. “What Hifi” and others gave multiple positive reviews and awards. Includes the extraordinary Rega RB300 tonearm, with premium tungsten counterweight and a lightly used very highly rated Goldring 1042 moving magnet cartridge. With several "Isokinetic" ( a brand now sadly gone) upgrades. An acrylic platter, an improvement made by Dunlop themselves in later versions, acrylic armboard (original MDF insufficient to fully exploit the Rega arm) VTA adjustment mod (RB300 has none - sound from the Goldring greatly improved once added), acrylic base (original chipboard one was known to lack rigidity) spiked aluminium feet interface made with dampening sorbothane pads. Fully functional and with superb sound. Will significantly out perform any current new similarly priced options. This is a “vintage” item well used and well loved right up until the arrival of my new Rega Planar 10. I would describe the condition as appropriate for its age but must mention the acrylic lid which has some marking. Also, the Sorbothane feet which are also showing their age but to my ears at least no less functional. So please examine the photos carefully so you know the condition. Also included – the original glass platter and a Linn K9 cartridge in good condition. Item is in Kildare Town area. Considering the precision engineered and tuned suspended sub-chassis I would not consider any standard delivery service suitably trustworthy, so would suggest collection in person or I could deliver within Ireland if you are willing to cover the cost of Diesel.
