Power: The bike's maximum power output must be 250 watts or less. Speed: The bike's maximum assisted speed must be 25 kilometers per hour (15.5 miles per hour) or less. Licensing, registration, and insurance: No license, registration, or insurance is required to ride an EAPC on public roads, cycle paths, or anywhere else pedal bikes are allowed. However, insurance is recommended to cover damage, theft, personal injury, and liability. Classification: EAPCs are considered normal pedal bikes and are subject to the same rules. The new laws for EAPCs in Northern Ireland came into effect on May 13, 2020. They brought the laws in line with the rest of the UK, the EU, and the Republic of Ireland. £950 each or €1100 Perfect Xmas present
