23ft Sailing Cruiser – Amu

Amu is a classic and capable 1975 LM 23 sailing cruiser – solidly built with a strong fiberglass hull and powered by a reliable 20hp Kubota diesel engine (installed only a few years ago). At 23ft long with a shallow 0.70–0.80m draft (depends on the load), she’s ideal for lakes, canals, coastal cruising, and shallow marinas. (you can see a boat report from a few years ago, got very little use since). Trailer is included! Parked in Mountshannon harbour. She features a masthead rig – known for simplicity and stability. Amu handles well and is easy to sail, whether you’re experienced or just getting into cruising. Below deck, there’s a comfortable cabin with 2 berths, a toilet, and a galley with hob, sink, and 15L freshwater tank. Everything you need for relaxed weekends on the water. Amu is a sturdy all-rounder, comfortable compact and solid – ready to explore new waters. The main reason for selling, I'm just not having enough time for her and although I'm sad to let her go, I would be delighted to know she is getting a good use of. Engine works very well, boat needs some general TLC and the canvas will need replacement as it got damaged in the recent hurricane. (have a contact for a canvas maker).
