VHF (SRC) courses (Fri evening, all day Sat): SRC - Gort, Co Galway - 28-29 March 2025 SRC (Short Range Certificate) is the course you need to legally operate a handheld radio or a fixed VHF on your leisure boat. This qualification is also necessary to obtain the MMSI code that enables digital distress transmissions from your boat. The SRC costs just €285. The course is held over one evening and a full day. Online preparation is done before the course starts.
