SQI Declaration of Conversion Campervan Conversion Requirements & Process: — Cooking Facilities — Storage Facilities — Seating & Table Facilities — Sleeping Facilities — Min. of 1.8 Meters / 6 Foot Headroom in the Rear For Some Insurers — Invoices for Conversion When making the application to revenue for camper you will require the following documents: 1. Minimum conversion requirements as listed above. 2. We compile the conversion paperwork. 3. Apply to the Revenue to have the vehicle assessed from a van to a camper. The revenue require the following: - Fully completed Declaration of Conversion SQI - We do this ! - Invoices for the build - Very Important - Set of photos of the camper 4 from the outside and 6 from the inside as set out on the SQI form, please print off in colour and send with application. - Copy of the current logbook. Post to: The National VRT Service, Revenue Commissioners, Anne Street, Wexford, Y35 E29K. 4. The revenue will then write back to you with a price for the VRT. 5. IF you are happy to pay the VRT the revenue will then send you another letter for the tax office. 6. Insure and CVRT the vehicle as a camper. Then go to your local tax office with all your paperwork and tax it. You will then receive your new logbook in the post with the vehicle classified as a camper. Please Note: From 01 March 2022 the level of detail required by the County Councils and the Revenue has increased significantly and therefore more time will be required to process paperwork.
