It took awhile for myself to write down a review for AK Automotive because I can never be too sure. Good thing about these chaps though, is that they really sell quality cars that speak of the sellers themselves than how they sold it.
Currently running 600kms at the odometer from the day I took it home but no trouble with the car whatsoever. Documents came on time as promised, and the help with the finance team was on point. Andy and Stephen are a joy to work with, and this dealership is highly recommended.

When I first bought my Mini in October 2024, the team was great. An engine light came on while I was driving it home, and they immediately sent it to a garage for a checkup and even gave me a loaner car while it was being sorted. I was really excited about the car and thought I was making a great purchase. Unfortunately, things have gone downhill since then.

The car has been nothing but trouble. When I got it, it had bald tires, leaking shocks, worn brake discs and calipers, broken wishbones, and misaligned balancing and tracking. It was listed as having 135,000 km, but it was actually in miles, meaning it had 221,000 km, to be honest I was so excited about the car I just saw the 135,000 and didn’t look at it and No one else double-checked the mileage, so that was a huge surprise. The manifold flaps were also removed, causing the car to stall easily when cold and take over an hour to properly warm up. It also makes constant creaking noises while driving, and it feels like I’m constantly dealing with issues.

To be fair, the team did pay for the shocks to be replaced, but I didn’t expect to have to replace everything else. Since October, I’ve already spent 2500 euros on repairs for a 2015 model. I haven’t even driven the car much because I’m terrified of something breaking when I’m far away from home. The only positive thing I can say is that the engine itself is still running fine, but it’s clear that the car wasn’t properly inspected before it was listed online.
I’m so disappointed. If only the car had been thoroughly checked before selling, none of this would be an issue. I was told it had been inspected, but clearly, it was not. The warranty was too short, Now, I’m left searching for another car, which is frustrating because I truly loved the Mini at first.
