Bad reviews of service dept already given reflect my recent experience with them. Extremely disappointed with their attitude and poor response when I previously rang with an issue with the rubbers coming off all the doors which were under warranty at the time of complaint..I went to my local garage in the end and paid a lot less for replacement. Other issues pointed out when I went for service there recently not handled in a professional manner and I have bought a number of new cars from them over the years.I have never had a bad experience with sales staff in Audi Athlone but unfortunately their after sales service to long standing customers will prevent me from returning.

On February 21, 2023, I gave my Audi A5 for a previously scheduled service. I ordered the replacement of air, cabin and oil filters as well as an oil change. I also asked for a non-working headlamp to be repaired. The high beam headlight did not work when turned on. During the service, the service manager called me with a proposal to replace the brake oil, I agreed to the replacement. When collecting the car from the service center, I was informed that the entire front left lamp would have to be replaced to remove the fault of the non-functioning high beam. The cost of the lamp including replacement is €2,871.55. (Photo attached) I said it was a lot of money and I had to think about it. In the following weeks, I received a call from Audi Athlone twice, asking me if they should order a new lamp for me. I didn't know what to do because the amount of almost €3000 was large. In the meantime, I tried to repair the lamp myself. I ordered the main headlight electronics power module. Unfortunately, the replacement did not help. My local mechanic in Tullamore connected to the car's computer to program a new part, unfortunately the lamp still did not work. He opened the fuse box and found that the fuse was blown. The lamp was repaired by my local mechanic. Fuse cost €0.50. I would like to remind you that the estimate for the Audi Athlone service is to replace the entire lamp for almost €3000. At the same time, he opened the air filter and it turned out that it had not been replaced (photo for viewing). At the end of August, I had an appointment for another service for my car. It was a service ordered by Audi to replace the alternator. During this visit, I wanted to talk to the manager about the missed diagnosis of the front lamp repair for almost €3000, where it was enough to look into the fuse box and replace the fuse for €0.50. At 9.00AM on August 25, 2023, I returned the car to the service center. I asked to speak to the manager. Unfortunately, I was informed that it was not available and it would be available later. I came again to pick up the car around 4PM, again I asked to speak to the manager. Again, ineffective. I was assured that the person responsible for the Audi Athlone service would call me the following Monday, 28/08/2023. Unfortunately, no one has called until today, i.e. September 16, 2023, to talk about the situation.
