If your going to buy cars or vans from any auctions I would highly recommended Mellins auctions. Unlike other auctions they have reports on the vehicles and do try to let you know if there is anything wrong with the vehicle. Not always 100% but the do try unlike other auctions.

I went last friday (18 oct 2024) and bought lot one (1). After picking the car up I realized that it would need a clutch replacement, As being Lot 1 I couldn't Heard the car before going into auction and also they didn't list the issue online under the comments section and they knew 100% about this issue because as soon as you drive the car You can tell that the clutch is slipping. It would be nice if they start listing known issues before hand.

Brought in a car for auction this morning. It's a top of the range Peugeot 508 allure 151 which cost almost €40,000 new. This has 146klms on the clock with full service history. I put a reserve of €7000 on this and when the girl came back she said they thought it was a bit high and were willing to put €3,500 on it. Needless to say I walked away. It will be my last visit and I would not recommend to anyone
