Won a bid as a provisional which is fine. Had to wait 6 days to be told the van would be in tomorrows auction. After me calling 4 times before this looking for an update to be told the auctioneer would ring me back. Never did. saw it in the listed items for tomorrows auction before I even rang the 2nd time. Happy to keep the deposit anyway.

I recently participated in an auction with Wilson Auction and was very disappointed with the lack of transparency around fees. When I registered, I was told there would be a €250 buyer's fee and 20% VAT. However, after the auction, I was charged a buyer’s fee of 20% of the final bid, which exceeded €1,500, far more than expected. There was also a €200 sundry charge, plus VAT, which was not communicated clearly. The inconsistent fee structure on their website made it hard to understand the actual costs involved, and the lack of clarity feels like a violation of consumer rights. It’s frustrating not to have clear, upfront information, and I believe these unexpected charges are unfair. I urge Wilson Auction to be more transparent with their fee structure to avoid misleading customers in the future. Then the small things an email with an explanation of how it works regards payment and collection would be of great help, also an email when funds clear these measures would cut out multiple phone calls and emails.
