Cannot praise Al Hayes and his team enough. From the minute I arrived on Saturday I was greeted with such professionalism & kindness and I left feeling confident that my needs had been listened to. They spent so much time with me from test drive to explaining all new info I needed with the car. I won’t shop anywhere else going forward

Massive place. Went there to test drive an electric car. Had to wait a bit but given the time of the year and pandemic situation it is forgivable. At the time they had better finance deal going on of 1.9%. Staff were very approachable. The sales staff I dealt with showed me the car explained the main features and then offered me a test drive car. So overall my experience was pleasant.

Very disappointing experience with Al Hayes Portumna unfortunately. Bought a 2 yo VW, my wife went to collect a few days later but when i got home from work and had a good poke around i realised that the car wasn't prepped at all. There was zero servicing done to car prior to sale as agreed, I had to do oil, air, cabin, and fuel myself, I don't mind as I enjoy that type of stuff, but the principle of the matter. The cabin filter was disgusting dirty, and the engine oil was gritty and burnt. Also tyres were only at 50%, which i thought was mean spirited on a car sold for 35,000euro. I then asked for the service history of the car, but Al Hayes refused to provide! They sold it from new, and had been "servicing" it themselves until we bought at 2 years old, but refused to show me these records! One month into ownership the AdBlue system had an error. The garage booked it in for a fix. My wife had to take a day off work and had to bring the kids, one of whom is autistic, and hand around for hours while Al Hayes tried a cheap fix, that didn't work. My wife had to repeat the process again 2 weeks later. Just fix the damn thing right the first time and show some respect to customers. Simply incredible to experience this from a main VW franchise. Al Hayes couldn't have cared less, they sold a car with zero service done on it and lied throughout the process. I wasn't convinced about them prior to purchase as i found the staff to be a little sneary towards us, but my wife trusted them, however admitted since that she got them all wrong. You are probably wondering why with all the issues not right with car, that I didn't kick up a major fuss. I used to have that sort of fight in me when I was younger, but nowadays I try not waste too much emotion on gangsters like Al Hayes, it would probably have been a complete waste of time, judging by their attitude. Lesson learned, never again
