The series was introduced in 1970’s and it’s about the fundamental founding of the American Old West, with each book focussing on a different topic. Each book is bound in imitation leather hardcover with ‘gold’ lettering on binding. Each front cover has an oval shaped picture depicting the individual book’s theme. The design of the cover is a set of cattle horns with the rising sun depicted between the horns. Each book has 240 pages including text , pictures and illustrations.
