Patrick O'Brien first started selling Renault vehicles in 1963 in Rochfortbridge before moving to the Lynn Road in Mullingar in 1971. In this time we have established a vast base of satisfied customers who come back time and time again to exchange their cars for the latest models. We are proud of the fact that we are Irelands longest serving Renault dealer in Ireland.
In 2012 the new Dacia brand was launched in Ireland and O'Briens are also an approved Dacia dealer. In November 2012 we proudly became the new Hyundai dealership for the midlands. We opened a new dedicated facility on the Lynn road where we offer Hyundai sales, service and part operations.

We have the full new range of vehicles for test drive, we also offer customers a range of finest quality used cars. Over the years we have built up an enviable reputation for the quality of our after sales service.

Open Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 6.00pm and Saturday 10.00am to 2.00pm. The new dealership will offer a first class service in new Renault, Dacia and Hyundai sales, parts, servicing and finance. Excellent service from JP at O'Briens, giving plenty of time to explain the technological marvels of the Ioniq 5 to me even though I am 77 years young! I highly recommend this dealer.

I recently purchased a used EV from this dealership, within an hour of the car going up for sale I had rang them to enquire and the following Monday I had travelled from Galway to view and take a test drive.  I placed a deposit, asked some questions, and all was well.

When I arrived to pick up the car there were some issues that showed the dealership hadn't properly prepared for my arrival, even though I had spoken to them in advance, but worst of all for me, the car was not fully charged when I came to pick it up.

I had let the salesman know I had travelled from Galway, and the car was sitting around 36% charge.  I had to wait quite a while on the day to actually complete the sale, because I think the receptionist failed to inform the salesman I was there to see him?

Then I had to wait even longer for the car to have enough charge for me to get home.

I ended up being late for work and lost money and time due to bad preparation.  I arrived at 9.25am and wasn't heading home until 12.15pm. That is crazy!

Besides the bad purchasing experience, the car itself is in good order and I don't believe I'll have any issues with it.

But really and truly, I felt a bit let down with the purchasing experience, it could have been a lot better & I would hesitate to return for future business
