Recently bought a car from James Barry Motors and will definitely be recommending this dealership to friends and family. I was dealing with Paul who was a pleasure to deal with. Paul was very helpful and organised everything, the whole process was quick and hassle free.

I visited on Thursday 6th Feb midday to look at a Skoda Superb Estate valued ~ €40,000. I asked for a valuation on my Nissan Juke 2017 for part exchange. Ger Sheehan took photos of the car and told us he would be in touch later that day after he checked with his counterparts in Charleville. Unfortunately we did not hear back. I called on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday the following week for an update. On every occasion, Ger was unable to take the call and I was told he would call back which he did not - on Thursday I spoke with the receptionist who was very nice and I explained the situation (she apologised on behalf of Ger and told me she would personally have him call me the next morning - I’m still waiting…).
In the end, I closed with another dealer for the same car having received a personalised video, part exchange valuation and great customer service.
This was a terribly underwhelming customer experience and in the end it raised many red flags, I would encourage others to tread very carefully with James Barry Motors.
