If your going to buy cars or vans from any auctions I would highly recommended Mellins auctions. Unlike other auctions they have reports on the vehicles and do try to let you know if there is anything wrong with the vehicle. Not always 100% but the do try unlike other auctions.

Brought in a car for auction this morning. It's a top of the range Peugeot 508 allure 151 which cost almost €40,000 new. This has 146klms on the clock with full service history. I put a reserve of €7000 on this and when the girl came back she said they thought it was a bit high and were willing to put €3,500 on it. Needless to say I walked away. It will be my last visit and I would not recommend to anyone

Be careful. Purchased a car recently from the auction."looks like its straight off the forecourt". Listed with DVD players, Sat Nav, high end stereo. DVD player is missing remote and headphones rendering them useless. Sat nav hard disk is fried so doesn't work without expensive repair and Stereo doesn't work without very expensive repair. Also car is full of faults the following day, including brake assists, ABS, problem with gearbox and engine system service required. Be careful. As you can see from their response, a bad attitude towards customers. Didn't want to rectify issues just make underhand comments. I did purchase a car from Merlins. Why would i complain. What would Merlins do? Debate me? Avoid.
