We are proud to be a family run business, incorporated by the late Finbarr Galvin back in 1975 and now spearheaded by his son Justin Galvin. Purchased by beautiful Skoda Superb Sportline recently from the one and only Declan O’Mahony, Skoda Sales Manager.  Fully automatic, sporty and sleek and we absolutely love it.  Excellent advice and customer service received and it’s not surprising that this is our 5th car purchase from Finbarr Galvins, Bandon.

I took a test drive in a Seat Ibiza here last year while searching for my first car. I'm fairly average in terms of height/weight/build and I found the car to be plenty spacious in the front for me and the person who drove me to the dealership. Ultimately I decided against purchasing the car as it felt a little bit sluggish once I got the speed up to around 80km/h on the main roads.
I dealt with a blonde haired women and a man inside the dealership for my test drive. She was very professional when I said that the car didn't exactly fit my needs after the test drive. They offered me a paper list of cars available at the dealership and the man gave me his business card to call him if I found a car on their list or the website that met my needs. Neither of them took any offence to my decision to leave the dealership empty handed that day.
I never felt pushed or pressured into buying a car from either member of staff. They were professional and courteous at all times. While I did end up purchasing my first car from another garage in Bandon, I was happy with how I was treated by staff here and I would certainly consider returning here in the future to purchase a car.

Very disappointing experience with this garage.

After getting in contact with the Skoda Branch Manager about a 222 Kodiaq. We were told the car was mint, paintwork and alloys. and to make a long story short,

- It was a 7hr round trip for us and they couldn't meet us a bit of the way to break up our journey. We were told they were under staffed. (We bought two previous cars in the south, off Cogans in Carrigaline and John Kennedys in Tipperary and were met in Bunratty where we were brought in for tea and soup)

-When asked about a tank of diesel in a €50k transaction because of the fact they couldn't meet us, we were told that company policy is no more than €20 worth of fuel with any vehicle.

- Hesitantly paid a deposit before arrival because it was a hard spec to find and partner was so excited. When my partner who is 8 months pregnant arrived with her elderly father, they were  left waiting for 20mins without anyone having the courtesy to even say I will be with you in a minute. Finally when she was practically thrown the keys they seen the alloys were all marked along with a lot light scrapes on the paintwork. When this was brought up with the salesman, his response was "what did you expect its a year old".

She left in tears and left the car behind her thank god. I emailed the Skoda Manager telling him how annoyed I was with the treatment we received but especially my partner, to which I didn't even get a response. But everything happens for a reason and have just purchased our Kodiaq from an actual salesman in Annesley Williams in Dublin where Paddy couldn't have been nicer.
