If your going to buy cars or vans from any auctions I would highly recommended Mellins auctions. Unlike other auctions they have reports on the vehicles and do try to let you know if there is anything wrong with the vehicle. Not always 100% but the do try unlike other auctions.

Brought in a car for auction this morning. It's a top of the range Peugeot 508 allure 151 which cost almost €40,000 new. This has 146klms on the clock with full service history. I put a reserve of €7000 on this and when the girl came back she said they thought it was a bit high and were willing to put €3,500 on it. Needless to say I walked away. It will be my last visit and I would not recommend to anyone

Horrible experience & Never again. Faulty ENGINE LIGHT was hidden by Seller/Merlin. I bought a car last week with 91km on the clock, valid NCT and NO ENGINE LIGHT on as seen on the share picture. Before the bid started and thought I was on the save side with all above mentioned buying criterias. Also I made screenshots of Merlin's car adds. But after just 5km of driving the ENGINE LIGHT went on, drove to the closest mechanic and got to know that on 2 cylinders no compression - estimated cost : min 1500€ Never again - I take full responsibility for my actions but definitely would not recommend to buy via Merlin as either Car Dealership / Merlin knew about it and this major information was not shared within the add as seen on shared pictures.
