Antique Print “A Cute Cueist”

Late Victorian Print of a rather racy scene American - of an upper class house party whiling the evening player snooker (or is it billiards?). Plenty of detail and humour, plenty to observe - those plunging necklines and tiny waists, the elegant gentleman, almost all sporting fine whiskers and moustaches, the sex divide 14-3 in the gentleman’s favour, a fascinating snapshot of those times. Date seems to be 1896, which matches the costumes. Unusual and fun. Well framed and glazed. Frame 45 x 35 cm Print 33 x 23 cm
