General Operative

Job Description: We are seeking a hardworking and reliable General Operator to join our team in the Midland Tyres. This role involves handling, sorting, and storing tyres while ensuring the yard remains safe, organised, and compliant with company standards. Key Responsibilities: - Loading, unloading, and moving tyres around the yard safely. -Inspecting and sorting tyres based on condition, type and size. -Assisting with the storage and organisation of stock. -Operating machinery such as forklifts. - Ensuring the yard remains clean and adheres to health and safety regulations. -Assisting drivers with loading and unloading tyre deliveries. - Reporting any damaged or unusable tyres to management. Requirements: -Experience in a yard, warehouse, or tyre-related environment (preferred but not essential). -Forklift license (desirable but not required). - Good physical fitness, as the role involves manual handling of tyres. - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. -Awareness of health and safety practices in a yard environment.
