Uphill: On the opening the winch brake, the carriage heads downhill independently via gravity. A simple stop (fixed on a tree via a synth. -cable) halts the carriage and the pulley is automatically lowers to the ground. The carriage pulley is pulled to the prepared bundles and the load is fixed by choker chains or a choker rope. A side-pull of approx. 30m is possible. The load is lifted (pulley effect) until the pulley returns to the carriage. The carriage starts automatically with the load. Uphill a device fixes the carriage automatically to facilitate lowering the load. Downhill or flat terrain: the return of the trolley must be done by a return cable. When using a double drum winch, the return cable can be driven over one drum the pulling cable over the other. Also, the "down-hill-device" has to be mounted on the carriage. Components: 1) Carriage The carriage of the MAXWALD small cableway system is simple, but effective and durable. Permanently lubricated and maintenance free ball bearings, steel rollers, special steel and the possibility to adapt each carriage also for the downhill or flat terrain operations makes this system unique in the world. A swivel prevents twisting of the pulling-cable on the pulley. The carriage is equipped with a standing-cable securing. Low weight, which can be increased for flat terrain, allows for quick and easy system set-up.
