Ferox Trout - Real Fish Taxidermy

A fantastic vintage Ferox Trout taxidermy, caught over 50 years ago in Lough Corrib lake. Cased in a glass with natural decor and has been well kept in very good condition. Ferox trout are found in large, deep lakes throughout the native range of brown trout in Ireland and Britain. In contrast to brown trout which feed primarily on bottom dwelling invertebrates, ferox trout are fish-eating, or piscivorous, predators, which allows them to grow large compared with brown trout.
