Description
Nolan 100 Watt Plexi amplifier head circa 1975 Fully working. Got this serviced by Martin Nolan last year and it's only been just tested since. Original transformers and circuit. Hand built, hand wired construction. Loudest Amp ever. I've owned this about 14 years. It came from a shed in Mayo. I've owned an Orange OR120 from the 70s and this is louder. This circuit is based on a Marshall 1959 Plexi. It has 4x EL34s and 3x ECC83s. Either speaker output is 8 ohm, or both can be 16 ohm paralleled. The original power connector has been replaced with a modern IEC type connection at some point. Pat Nolan built amplifiers in London from the late 60's to the mid 70's, They were associated with Selmer as Pat Nolan used to be a Selmer tech. Although The build quality is excellent, it is in players condition; Fairly roadworn as you can see in the photos, especially on the front top corners. There has been a woodworm infestation years ago and the timber has all been treated. It's still solid. The worn vinyl covering has also been cleaned with anti-fungal cleaner. Selling as it is now surplus to requirements. I'm based in Letterkenny but I'm up and down to Lucan/Dublin weekly €600
