Placed an order last Thursday, today is Tuesday!

I ordered an item for which payment was collected immediately and we are talking a significant sum.  The way things happened and the shipping policy seemed to indicate that I would receive my purchase with 48 via Royal Mail.

I received a Royal Mail tracking number via email and every time I check the tracking app I’m told that Royal Mail have not received the item.

It’s extremely disappointing not to receive the purchase as expected (within 48 hours) as I had planned a job over the weekend.  I even tried the online chat and that didn’t produce any answers or satisfactory response.  “I’m waiting for my colleague to get back to me”.

To top it all I tried logging in to the Clarke’s website after I completed the purchase.  I logged on and got access to someone else’s personal data and address details etc.  I guess that’s a job for the data / information commissioner.

Report:  Could do better, needs to pay more attention to detail.
