Bayonet For Sale: Era: 1914-1945 Conflict: Cold War Country: Switzerland Issued/Not issued: Issued This is a Swiss 1914 Pioneer Sword Bayonet with metal scabbard. The 19'' fullered blade is in excellent condition having been greased and is bright and shiny with only a very few very minor blemishes. (Overall length is a massive 24 inches) It is stamped HS on the ricasso and 49602 on the crossguard. The sawback teeth are all intact and all are razor sharp. The full metal scabbard is in good condition with only minor scrapes and is rust free. The blades slides snugly into the scabbard and the bayonet release catch is fully functioning. The hardwood grips have some very minor wear and are firm and solid. This an excellent example of these sought after bayonets. The pictures do not really do it justice. A fine addition for any collection being sold as an antique or collectable and not as a weapon.
