SkyWatcher AZ EQ6 Pro Equatorial GoTo Mount

The Sky-Watcher AZ-EQ6 Pro is a versatile, heavy-duty astronomical mount that can be used in both Alt-Azimuth (AZ) and Equatorial (EQ) modes. It's essentially two mounts in one, allowing for both visual observing and astrophotography. This mount has all the accessorries, i.e. dual telescope mounts, counterbalance weights etc. The AZ-EQ6 Pro features belt drives, a SynScan Go-To system, and Freedom Find encoders for manual tracking without losing alignment. Dual-Mode Operation: The AZ-EQ6 Pro can be switched between Alt-Azimuth mode for visual observing and Equatorial mode for astrophotography and long-exposure imaging. Heavy-Duty Design: It can handle a payload of up to 20kg (44 lbs), making it suitable for a wide range of telescopes and accessories. Belt Drives: The use of belt drives reduces backlash and improves tracking precision, particularly important for astrophotography. Go-To System: The SynScan Go-To system, controlled by a hand controller, allows you to easily locate and track objects in the sky. Freedom Find Encoders: These encoders allow you to manually move the telescope without losing its alignment with the Go-To system. Dual Telescope Mounting: The mount can accommodate two telescopes simultaneously, one on the main saddle and one on an optional secondary saddle. Comes with the tripod, SynScan WiFi Controller and EQ Mod Lead for control via ASIAIR or similar. Only selling because of an upgrade to the strain wave 150i version - tracking on this mount was always excellent. Tripod is in OK condition, nothing wrong with it, but just has some rust visible. Mount is in mint condition however, never out in the rain and always stored dry.
