THOROUGHBRED MARE

HASBAH, a 14-year-old mare by Cape Cross (sire of Sea The Stars). She has bred a winner from her only runner to date, just three living foals. Two of her half-sisters have bred stakes winners and grandam was a Group 1-winning two-year-old. Mares by Cape Cross have bred such Group 1 winners in recent years as Australia (Derby), Masar (Derby), Lucky Vega (Phoenix Stakes), Tajiyra (Irish 1000 Guineas), Santiago (Irish Derby), Tarnawa (Breeders' Cup Turf) and Croix Du Nord (2024 Champion 2yo in Japan). Her 2024 filly foal died at six weeks old and she wasn't covered this year. Good-looking mare, 15.3 Hands; fertile and straightforward to go in foal, correct limbs, no vices. UPDATE: The three-year-old colt, called ARAMRAM, out of her half-sister Queen's Pearl, was runner-up in the 2024 Ayr Silver Cup.
