The materials used were of the highest quality, and so the pianos from this era are famed for being highly durable, retaining their quality for many decades. Being a large baby grand (5’6” in length), the G2 is both compact enough to be accommodated in most domestic settings, but also benefits from longer strings and a larger soundboard than would be found in smaller grands. It therefore has a very full and rich sound in the bass and middle sections, as well as a crystalline brilliance in the treble area. The action is nicely balanced and incredibly responsive. Overall, it is a highly versatile instrument suitable for students and professionals. It has been maintained and tuned to the highest standards, and will give many more decades of good service in the future. The cabinet is in overall excellent condition.
