This air bag is a great safety addition for bikers.The jacket is attached to a suitable point on the frame of the bike by a lanyard.If the biker separates from the bike for any reason the lanyard fires a gas cylinder as seen in the attached video.The air bag inflates very rapidly and forms a temporary stiff cage around the upper body thus protecting it as much as possible.The air bag starts to self deflate after a short time period once its job is done. I was sceptical at first that these air bags would inflate as rapidly as they said would so I went to the factory in the U.K. for a demonstration and I was convinced on the spot. These air bags are also used in the horse jumping sport and protect riders if they should fall off the horse. I have given up biking after 45 safe years so that’s why it is up for sale. They are expensive,to buy new,up to £500 each depending on where you get them. This jacket is in immaculate condition hence asking 250 Euro.
