BMW R80 Cafe Racer / Bobber

1984 BMW R80 Bobber / Cafe Racer. Battle ship grey. Rare with the spoked wheels. Complete rebuild. Powder coated frame in satin black. The engine was rebuilt with new pistons, piston rings, valves, valve springs, crank bearings, crank seals and gaskets. All other gaskets and seals were replaced also. Stainless pushrod tubes. The gearbox was reconditioned with gaskets and seals. New clutch. New swingarm bearings. New headstock bearings. Braced frame. The wheels have new bearings, stainless steel spokes, tubes and tyres and are powder coated. New rear shocks specific for the bobber . The front suspension was completely rebuilt with new internals, seals, dropped by 50mm and has new progressive springs fitted. The brakes were also rebuilt with new seals, pistons, pads, braded hoses, new radial master cylinder and stainless discs. New shoes in the rear. The final drive and rear hub were rebuilt with new male and female splines , bearings, seals and gaskets. The carbs were completely rebuilt with new diaphragms o-rings seals and jets. The electrics are running on a new modern regulator rectifier so the old diode board is removed. New lithium ion battery and the famous M Unit Blue, so it has keyless go, alarm, GPS and Bluetooth (there's way too much to list here about the M Unit) All nuts and bolts were replaces with stainless steel excpt for the rear shocks and frame brace which have High Tensile Steel bolts. It comes with a removable rack and side bags for touring, and the rack is designed to be used as a table when camping. As you can see from the pictures absolutely everything was done and it is effectively a zero mileage bike again and it sounds amazing! It has just had its 600miles run in.
