DUCATI 916 Biposto

For sale is my 1999 Ducati 916 Biposto. 8700 miles on the clock, but actually more like 17,000 (details below). MOT until 10th May. Everything works as it should, starts on the button and runs superbly. The bike is fitted with rare Ferracci silencers and galfer front discs. It comes with the original Ducati paddock stand and fitted yellow cover. UK reg still, but VRT only €126! More details: I have owned the bike since Dec 2019. It was bought from a guy who was moving to the states and it had sat in his garage since its last mot in Jun 08. It was looking a bit sorry for itself, didn't run and had an awful infostrada livery (wrong era for a 916). When i got the bike home I set about recommissioning it. Firstly getting it to start, ehich turned out to be a bad relay to the fuel pump. Once it had been run it was stripped and the following work carried out: •Exhausts removed, repacked and headers polished •Full engine service: oil, filters, new timing belts with tensioner bearings, heads removed and rockers checked for flaking (all ok), all valve clearances checked and adjusted. •New coolant •New clutch slave cylinder •Brake calipers rebuilt •New brake fluid •Forks rebuilt •Shock rebuilt (body re-passivated in yellow zinc) •Fuel pump rebuilt with new seals and o-rings •New carbon front mudguard, front v panel, side covers •Tail unit, side fairings and mirrors resprayed The livery is replica of the 1998 GSE Racing BSB bikes as ridden by Troy Bayliss. I always liked the race rep look and to my knowldge this is the only 916 (not 996 or 998) to race in a major championship in yellow. I have a GSE racing book that we used to get the decals made, which will go with the bike. The decals are not laquered over so can be removed if desired. I also have the original pillion seat and footpegs. I have a box of spares and invoices.
