Fruit/Bird Protection Cage

This 5m x 5m x 2m fruit cage is in excellent condition, with all of the necessary parts included - side, top and door netting, 1.7m X 2m of spare netting, door, all connecting joints and 40 ground pegs. The framework comprises 25mm (1”) diameter high-strength steel tubing with a 1.5mm wall thickness. Tubes are connected together with galvanised ARMOURGUARD® steel joiners, swaged to provide a neat and robust connection. This produces a framework that is up to 30% stronger than competitive systems. Doors Supplied with hinges, door fasteners and individual doorposts. Netting The side netting for fruit cages is an extruded high strength 2m (6’6”) high polypropylene net with an 18mm (3/4”) square mesh. The roof net is a knitted mesh used by commercial growers. Nets are attached to the framework using cable ties which allow the net to be removed during the winter months if required. Pollinating insects can easily enter the cage through this mesh size. The finished height of the fruit cage is 2m after inserting the 2.35m poles in to the ground, which will cover small trees, bushes and many other plants. The tubular, welded connecting joints have built-in strength, exactly where it’s needed. This cage has never budged or buckled through several storms including storm Eowyn! Cable ties not included and there are a few very small tears in the netting but very easy to fix with the spare netting supplied. Instruction manual is included.
