Mid century Stag sideboard

Mid century teak Sideboard from Stag furniture. Designed in 1966 by Ron Carter, design consultant for Stag furniture of Nottingham, England. His first design range for Stag was the ‘Cantata’ range, which was simple and stylish in its design. The 1966 catalogue states that ‘Great care was taken to create the maximum amount of storage space without increasing outside dimensions’. It also boasts ‘Rob Carter’s design, emphasises the magnificent grain and texture of the wood and makes the most of its rich tawny colour’. This piece is an excellent example from this range.
