Description
A tantalising rarity in Ireland; the shell of a Thomson MO5 8-bit computer from 1984. This is just the shell of the machine, with, as far as I can gather, an intact SCART cable and mainboard connector (which I've tested for continuity) and an intact keyboard. The Mylar membrane connectors look good; I haven't disassembled the keyboard to find out what state it's in, but it feels good (well, as good as a Spectrum-style keyboard can feel.) The springs for the cartridge slot are still in place and do their job of keeping the slot closed when not in use. I'd eyeballed it as a potential case to use to put an MO5 emulator in, but I don't have the time or the wherewithal currently to build a keyboard adapter for it. So perhaps that's a project for someone else.
