1914 Falmouth quay punt

Teal is a 21ft Falmouth quay punt built in 1914. She made her first trip from her builders (WE Thomas)of Falmouth to her home port of Fowey at the outbreak of WW1 where she stayed until the 1960s. In 2004 she was Sailed engineless across the North Sea and sailed for 2 seasons all the way up to the Northern Baltic. Prior to this, she had made numerous trips across to France. I bought her in 2011 and shipped her back to Hegartys of Oldcourt for a 3/4 rebuild which replaced her transom,keel timber, stem and sternpost and all the lower futtocks, complete refastening of all the planking and new Main mast. Full story available online. Engine is a 30hp Yanmar 3gm30 New mainsail and mizzen in 2015. She is on her own heavy yard trailer. The deck has just been replaced with a new epoxy ply deck to replace the previous cotton canvas deck. She is now ashore for the winter. The varnish needs redoing in the spring, but otherwise, she is in good sailing condition. She is a big boat for a 21footer. 5ft draft, 5/ 6 tons displacement and 32ft over spars, and 400 sqft of sail. All the heavy work and expensive jobs have been done with photos of every bit of the process available. A great chance to own a piece of history that needs nothing more than general maintenance and to be sailed. I'm a charter skipper and just can't find the time to make the use of her that I should.
