QUAD II Valve Amplifiers (2)

Pair of Quad II amplifiers serial numbers 15556 and 72207 for sale as a working pair. These amps have been unused for over 30 years and were to be part of a studio monitor. Case and transformers were sprayed black 30 years ago. Wired mains lead fitted and new fuse holders, voltage setting panel has been bypassed and wired to 240V. The base cover was missing from both amps. I have fitted two new base panels with rubber feet see photos. I also replaced capacitors and resistors, new HV electrolytics were added on bracket using name plate screws for fixing as seen in photo. New 4mm sockets for the speaker output and phono sockets for the input. Sn72207 - a fibre glass repair was done to blank off side holes on one side. See photo. Both have new TubeAmpDoctor KT66s and GZ34s installed, tested and are working. One has two Mullard EF86 and the other has one Mullard EF86 and one Telefunken EF86. These are not new. Both amplifiers have been tested and are working, the condition is as seen in the photos. Note each amplifier weighs just over 8kg. Offered for collection only due to packaging concerns.
