Violin

Known as the ‘cello violin’ this is a perfect copy of the instrument created by the english violin maker Thomas Howell in the 19th century. It is a 4/4, full sized violin, the same stop length as a regular full sized instrument, but it’s body has been designed to give it a fuller, more resonant sound, lengthening its bass notes and filling out the overall tone. The wood is beautifully grained and the edge carving adds to its uniqueness. This is not really an instrument for a beginner, but will suit any experienced player who appreciates the violin and all its history. It is one of only two copies that exist. Open to offers.
