I have played this fiddle for 30 years, and it was probably around for another 30 years before that. I am upgrading now as a retirement present to myself. While it shows it age a bit, the full sound that it delivers far exceeds fiddles in the €5k+ category and for that reason I have struggled to change it in those 30+years.
