A 1900gm Cogni pattern axe in very good condition. Made by Talabot in Saint-Juery, France. The long wedge shaped head has a steel spur to protect the shaft from overstrikes. The edge is sharpened and ready for hard work. The 900mm hickory handle is in good shape. This type of axe is still manufactured in Austria by Mullar .
