Myford Super7 lathe 240 volts

Myford Super 7 metal gearbox lathe. Please look closely at the pictures. You will be able to see that the lathe has been completely stripped down and repainted. Prior to repair work and assembly, the parts were inspected closely to ensure they were fit for purpose (the ones that weren't, were quite simply replaced). The machine is powered by a Brooke Crompton 3/4hp single phase motor. Wiring has been replaced and a new 'forward/reverse' switch has been fitted. As you can see, it's mounted on an original manufacturer's cabinet As for the lathe, it's completely standard except for the upgrade of a 4 way tool holder. The lathe is 3 1/2" over the bed (can turn 7" ) It's 20" between centres (500mm) 16 speeds in total One of the lovely features of the Super 7's is they are all fitted with a fantastic clutch, which allows for disconnecting the drive from the drive motor (when it is still switched on) to provide access to the work piece so that measurements can be taken etc. This model has the lovely gearbox were selection of different speeds is effortless. Both belts have been replaced during the reassembly. The 4" 3 jaw Pratt Bernard chuck has both sets of jaws. Imperial dials Lathe is ready to work. It's located in Newtownards Co Down.
