One Day Pyrography Course - Sat 12th April

One Day Pyrography Course Saturday 12th April 2025 Time: 9.30am – 4.00pm This is a hands-on course and using a hot wire machine you will learn about tone, texturing, transferring patterns & adding colour to your work. You will have use of all our classroom equipment & pyrography machines. Timber, card, transfer paper, colours & all other materials required will also be provided. A light lunch & refreshments are included. Your tutor for the day will be Paula Gormley. Course is limited to 8 places Interested in the art of woodburning or pyrography? Whether you’re a novice looking for a new hobby or a woodturner, carver or furniture maker looking to enhance your work this one day course is an ideal introduction. During this hands-on class each student will work with a Peter Child hot wire machine. They will be guided through machine set up, point & material selection, transferring patterns and practice all the basic techniques needed including tone, texturing, & adding colour to your work. Over the day students will hone their skills by working on a tonal chart & a project that you can select with your tutor on the day or you will be welcome to bring your own project idea with you.
