D.A. Forgie was established in 1974 by David Forgie and his wife Honor. Now over 40 years later we have greatly expanded, employing more staff, and operating across two branches. The main office is in Limavady, and the second branch opened in Lisburn in 2015.  D.A. Forgie is a leading dealer in Northern Ireland and throughout Ireland. We are the main dealer for many well-known brands such as Honda, Kubota Groundcare, Agriculture &amp; Construction and Merlo tele handlers.  All our products are tested by our highly qualified and experienced staff, who will be glad to help. We are happy to provide demonstrations of equipment functionality and offer advice based on our longstanding experience in this trade.

We are very proud of the fact we are a family business; we probably do not shout it loud enough! In the last six years Ria and Susan, two of David and Honor’s four daughters, have transitioned from their own successful careers to work alongside their parents to manage both branches.  Ria completed her degree in Entertainment and Events Management at Glasgow Caledonian University, and upon returning home worked as an Events coordinator, before switching careers to work at D.A. Forgie.  Susan completed a degree in Law and Economics and a Masters in Human Rights.  She then went on to practice as a solicitor for 12 years specialising in family law and civil litigation.  In 2020 Susan decided it was the right time for her to join her sister in the family business.  Working in such a male-dominated sector, both Ria and Susan strive to encourage and empower women in the agricultural, construction and business sectors to become involved in their family business, no matter what it is.
