99 Mercedes W202 C180 Elegance. Irish car from new (original sales invoice present) with just 186,300 miles and plenty of service history. Being a later Elegance model this car comes with four electric windows, electric heated mirrors, cruise control, walnut inserts, alloy wheels, chrome exterior highlights etc. Optional extras on this car include metallic paint (“Azure Blue”), Electric tilt and slide sunroof and a 5 speed Automatic gearbox. Everything works as it should. The car starts, goes and stops as you would expect. Lovely old school Mercedes features such as the foot brake, single windscreen wiper, warning triangle, first aid kit and of course the famous three pointed bonnet emblem. The engine pulls well and although just a 1.8 it has no problem keeping up with modern day traffic and cruising at 80 or 90 MPH. It’s also very easy on petrol. The car is serviced annually and always got what it needed (mainly just regular service items). Comes with two Mercedes keys, both working. The previous owner had the engine rebuilt in 2020 with a lot of new parts fitted. The car presents very well. The interior is in very good condition and a very comfortable place to be! Some wear on the drivers seat base but nothing major. The exterior is very good, some minor paint bubbles in the usual places – wheel arches and bottom of doors but all purely cosmetic. Leave as is or a relatively small spend to make it perfect. The underside is better than some cars half its age! It’s a very solid car without any of the major rust issues UK imports often can have. Taxed until the end of March 25, NCT’ed until the end of October 25 ( It was last tested on the 03.01.25) and last serviced in July 2024. New catalytic convertor (December 24) and sitting on four Dunlop tyres with about 80% thread left.
