Mercedes Cosworth 190 2.3-16v. with ONLY 56,000 Mls from new. The original performance 190, developed by Cosworth Engineering for Mercedes Benz, to help it beat BMW and win the World Touring Car Championship. Originally U.K. registered the car was imported ten years ago by present owner from Palma (where its English Yacht broker owner ran it in tandem with a BMW M3 !!) . The limited road network on the small Island meant the cars mileage remained extremely low. It has been part of a private Mercedes Benz collection of SL sports convertibles, Coupes and Performance models in Dublin since, always garaged and maintained regardless of expense. It has also been used by present owner for touring in Spain and Portugal in 2023, where its handling and performance could be fully used and proved fast and comfortable on European roads. A comprehensive History file accompanies the car , as does an original Mercedes Benz Brochure for the model. These cars are extremely rare and it would be impossible to find another with such low mileage. They are still very undervalued in comparison to the BMW M3 , which they competed against and beat in period but the Auction result for a similar car in the same colour ( pictured in photos) show that this is about to change !
