This special early 250SL is the rarest Pagoda, produced in early 67’ when Mercedes married the aesthetics of the 230SL with the mechanical advancements of the later 67’ 250SL and 280SL. Features an enlarged 7 main bearing engine, larger oil cooler and fuel tank and all round disc breaks. However, it retains the aesthetic brilliance of Bracq’s original 230SL, from its arced wing mirror, single colour tail lights, honeycomb seats, moulded door pockets, red and blue control levers, weaved carpet, 60’s design flourishes and the motorsport inspired suspension of the 230SL. Unlike most 250SL and 280SL, this car is a rare manual. Retains its matching numbers engine and cognac interior, confirmed by the data card. Bonnet and soft-top lid are stamped 1192, the body number.
