AIS Man overboard beacon

This AIS Beacon is brand new and has never been registered. Purchased for an off shore race that didn't happen. €299 off the shelf selling for €225 ono. No box but all manuals and installation guides inc. bought in 2022 so still in warranty. Ocean Signal RescueMe MOB1 - the worlds smallest personal locating AIS MOB beacon with integrated DSC. The RescueMe MOB1 is a MOB alerting device operating on the AIS VHF and is the best for when the most likely source of rapid rescue will come from your own vessel or other vessels in your vicinity, with AIS equipment. The MOB1 is intended to be installed within the life-jacket and will activate automatically on inflation, sending the first alert within 15 seconds. The MOB1 is waterpoof to 10 metres. In a MOB situation the MOB1 ,when activated, will transmit an alert to all AIS receivers and AIS enabled plotters in the vicinity. The integrated GPS ensures precise location is sent to your vessel and any others that may be assisting. The MOB1 communicates with the vessel you have been separated from and other vessels in the vicinity, up to 5 miles range dependent on conditions. The RescueMe MOB1 may also be activated manually - For automatic lifejacket installation, the Beacon its attached to the Oral Inflation Tube by means of the included bracket . It is recommended to carefully read the installation manual to complete the set up process or seek advice from your supplier. The DSC feature requires the programming of the unit with an MMSI number.
