I recently bought a hyundai i10 and couldn't be happier with my experience dealing with Thomas Devaney. It's my first time financing a car, and he was very patient answering every question I had and making the process very smooth and stress-free and was determined to find the best car that suited my needs and finances. Every member of staff I met and was in contact with were so friendly and helpful. I couldn't recommend the place more!

I bought a new MG4 from them. They did give me a better price than any other garage but it arrived with scratches all over the spoiler and they had no interest in resolving that. It took them 2-3 weeks and a lot of arguing to get the charging cable it was supposed to come with and I never got the bag the charger is supposed to come with

While the sales team have received positive reviews, it's worth explaining my experience of dealing with the Parts office of Sheils, Galway. To give context, there were two men working in the office, each edging towards retirement, and neither willing to offer a hello or good morning even though I was the only customer at first.  I needed engine oil and knew exactly the part number. The man I dealt with was dismissive of me, talked over me, and ordered the incorrect oil type for me. He dismissed my attempt to explain the type of oil specified in my manual, he said "Ford don't go by that". Whatever that means. He reluctantly gave me the part nbr of the ordered oil. He was rude and dismissive. Meanwhile, another customer who had entered asked for wipers, and started to give his car reg. He was immediately interrupted by a "STOP STOP STOP" from the other staff member, who said "You had your head down when you spoke, say it again".  It was disgracefully rude. Afterwards I actually drove to Top Parts (I have no affiliation with Top Parts) who immediately identified the correct oil for my car and had it in stock, and for less than half the price of Shiels.
I imagined that going to a dealership would mean quality products and quality service. Sheils Galway Parts office proves that this is not the case. Having two rude and grumpy customer-facing staff, obviously hard of hearing and set in their ways, but especially without the necessary knowledge to accurately listen to customers and give them the correct products, is a recipe for failure. Go to Top Parts,  Euro Car Parts or Halfords and you'll see  what dynamic, knowledgeable service is. I won't be back.
